About Me
Bethanie Young, behind the lens
Hi, I’m Beth, a pet photographer based in a small village in Oxfordshire, with a big love for dogs and a passion for capturing the unique personalities that make them part of the family. I create timeless, heartfelt images that celebrate the animals who mean the world to us and capture the memories we never want to lose.
I share my life with my husband and our three dogs: Pan, our black Labrador—also known as “Big Dog”—who is nearing double digits and has a healthy dose of selective hearing; Atlas, our Dalmatian, who attracts most of the public attention and is a proud mummy’s boy; and Kuma, our young Bernese cross, the energetic newest member of the pack, affectionately known as the “Queen of Chaos and stealer of hearts.”
Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and photography is how I’ve turned that love, alongside my creativity, into a career. My dogs were my inspiration and driving force to create PAK Photography. When I’m not behind the camera, I’m happiest on a long walk with the dogs—especially if there’s a pub at the end, a drink in hand, and something involving cheese on the table.

Like so many things do, it all began as a hobby. I’ve always been obsessed with immortalising memories through photographs, but in 2025 I decided to take it a step further and study professional photography through the Open University and the British Academy of Photographers.
During this time, I realised that my corporate career alone, wasn't bringing me joy, so I decided to follow the two things that did: my dogs and photography. With the support and inspiration of my family, I took the leap to turn that spark into a career.
I absolutely love studio portraiture—for me it’s the perfect way to capture those unique expressions and big personalities that make our dogs so special to us. While I spend most of my time in the studio, I do offer a handful of exclusive outdoor shoots throughout the seasons, so keep an eye on my socials for the next opening!
